This is a piece of crap not comparable to my old trimmer. Too many parts, no decent storage, incnvenient o change heads.
My beard is a mess since I got this item. I’m in the market for something better.

=====================IN-A-NUTSHELL==============================
The WAHL LITHIUM ION ALL-IN-ONE TRIMMER (9854L) works pretty well and it covers all of my “manscaping” needs. It’s powerful and compact and replaces my green “Wahl Cord/Cordless” trimmer that I’ve had for the past 5-6 years. The four different blades–that comes with the trimmer–are easy to change and cover basically everything from beard trimming to shaving the head. And it comes with different sized guards so that you can find the right length of cut to suit your needs. The only draw back is there’s no LED light to indicate if the battery is fully charged or if it’s charging, but that’s a small gripe.
Right out of the box, the WAHL TRIMMER is light weight, fits nicely in the hand, and has a silicone rubber coat around the base, which makes gripping it comfortable and slip free. It pretty much covers everything and should take care of all of your or your man’s grooming needs.
That’s in a nutshell, so you don’t have to read on, but I went into more details below.
=====================MY EXPERIENCE================================
CHARGING
Unit turns on right out of box but they recommend that it should be charged overnight for first use, which is what I did. The instructions say “do not use trimmer while it is charging,” so unplug each time before use, and says that it will only take 60-minutes to charge completely (after initial charge). I’m just going to keep it plugged in and unplug for use. Again, NO LED CHARGING LIGHT or battery indicator.
DUAL SHAVER ATTACHMENT FOR FACE
This worked OK, but it took multiple passes to shave my face and it left my skin a little irritated. I’m don’t use an electric shaver (I use a safety razor) and I’ve read that it’s normal to have some sensitivity when first using one, until the skin adjusts. It shaved pretty close and the shaver’s foil screen comes off easily for easy cleaning. Not bad, but I’ll stick to my razor since it’s quicker and easier for me.
PRECISION BLADE FOR EYEBROWS, NOSE, EAR ETC
The blade is too wide so you can only trim the hairs that are at the very front of the nostrils, but the vibration is so strong that it caused me to sneeze from the tickle. It works great for SHAPING the eyebrows but not trimming since there’s no guard for it. You can use the small comb that comes with the kit, as a guard, but that requires some skill and a steady hand or you can cut your eyebrows off. I suggest using a trimmer that’s designed specifically for the nose and eyebrows like Philips Norelco NT9110 Precision Nose and Ear Trimmer.
6-POSITION TRIMMING GUIDE COMB FOR BEARDS, SIDE-BURNS ETC.
Popping the guide comb on/off is easy but choosing the desired number is difficult because the guard sticks. The good part is, is that once you find the right number you can keep it on that setting even if you take the guide comb off. I used it on my side-burns and it worked perfectly on #3, trimming the hair down in one pass.
TRIMMER BLADE 1″ FOR CLOSE SHAVES
I used this to clean up the sides of my neck and it shaved nice and close.

I bought this product because I trusted the brand name Wahl. However, I was really disappointed with what I got. At times, it would completely fail to even turn on! I admit, when it did turn on, it worked well. I guess I will go buy the Remington Titanium, since I already know a few people who own it and it works very well. The Remington is less than $20 too.

Okay everyone this is the first time I ever wrote a review on the items I purchase from amazon and I buy a lot of things, so you have to allow me to gush just a little. This is absolutely the greatest clippers I have ever purchased. I have purchased several clippers between 1998 and now. Maybe about 4 or 5 of them, none lasted but one and it was one of those three circle razor deals. The wahl lithium Ion is simply a great product I never seen anything like it. I received my clipper on September 11, I charged it over night and used it for the first time the next day. I didn’t use it with the charger while I was using it and never put it on the charger again. During the time it was off the charger I maybe used it 6 times. I cut my own hair and it takes me about 40 – 45 minutes, this because I also trim my bread. This single charge (and here’s the amazing part), last exactly 1 month and 7 days, or 5 weeks. I started to cut my hair on the 19 of October, and the clipper went dead, I charged it for 2 minutes, and finished my hair cut. I never saw anything like this, this product would be a perfect travel companion, many time I’ve traveled and have to take two different clippers and there chargers and if I don’t charge them right away, they lose there charge with this product you won’t have to worry about that. I really love this item.
